In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring quality and compliance for new construction homes in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Northwest Indiana. You will conduct site inspections, collect and document data, review construction specifications, and create comprehensive reports. This position offers the opportunity to work in the dynamic field of residential construction while contributing to the success of our clients’ projects. This position involves a great deal of vehicular travel and, therefore, requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

To be considered for this position, you must have a valid driver’s license, a strong desire to learn, and a commitment to being a valuable team player. While a background in construction or home inspections is preferred, your willingness to learn is most essential to this role. As a Final Phase Energy Modeler, you’ll confirm that energy-saving features perform as intended, support code compliance, and provide actionable insights to help builders deliver buildings that meet both operational goals and project expectations.
What You’ll Do:
Confirm compliance: Run detailed energy models to verify projects meet or exceed energy codes
Defend efficiency features: Use modeling to quantify energy savings and operational benefits of high-performance systems, helping protect them during value engineering decisions.
Refine performance: Conduct iterative simulations to fine-tune system settings (HVAC, lighting, controls) for optimal building performance.
Support commissioning: Provide baseline models and expected performance data to commissioning agents to ensure installed systems function as intended.
Ensure operational readiness: Verify that as-built systems align with modeled designs to prevent post-occupancy performance gaps.
