Job Description:
Energy Diagnostics is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Air Sealer. In this role, you will play a vital role in improving the energy efficiency of homes under construction by performing air sealing services. Builders across the country trust our team to provide meticulous air sealing that enhances the final product and ensures compliance with energy codes and standards. A company vehicle and all materials are provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform air sealing services at homes under construction to reduce air leakage and improve energy efficiency.
  • Utilize caulking, weatherstripping, and other sealing materials to seal gaps, cracks, and penetrations in the building envelope.
  • Work closely with builders and contractors to identify areas of air leakage and implement effective sealing solutions.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of homes to ensure proper air sealing techniques are applied according to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at homesites and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for improving air sealing practices and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in air sealing, insulation installation, or related construction trades preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Physically capable of performing the demands of the job including climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to homesites as routed

You will collaborate and problem-solve with various departments to support our clients’ needs.  Using HVAC design software you will size heating and air conditioning systems for new construction homes, design duct systems, and ensure energy compliance is attainable. We will train you to analyze blueprints to design a digital model of a home for our builder clients across the country.
