Home Energy Field Rater: Northern Illinois

Ready for a career that blends impact with innovation? We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our Indiana Home Energy Rating team. As a key player in our established crew, you’ll spearhead energy inspection and testing services in the vibrant Indiana market, shaping the future of this role and collaborating across departments to fuel its growth.

In this role, you will visit homes at various stages of construction to perform analysis and certification of their energy efficiency. You will be provided with a company vehicle, a daily route of scheduled stops, and all of the equipment and training necessary to succeed. 

While a background in or knowledge of construction is a plus, it’s your eagerness to learn, ability to problem-solve, and personal initiative that truly matter the most. Our comprehensive training and access to all of the tools you’ll need to succeed will set you on a path to a career with significant opportunities for growth. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct onsite air tightness and duct tightness testing with precision.
  • Perform insulation inspections in homes currently under construction
  • Evaluate each home’s air sealing to provide feedback to builders for opportunities for improvement

In this role, you’ll work alongside an established team, performing air sealing services in our growing service territory. As a valued team member, you’ll contribute to the ongoing development of this position, collaborating with multiple departments to facilitate its growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct air sealing pre-drywall and post-drywall to enhance the energy efficiency of homes.
  • Execute job site preparation and cleanup for optimal efficiency in each location.
  • Perform site inspections to identify improvement opportunities for continuous enhancement.
  • Lead field testing to ensure the practical implementation of energy efficiency strategies.
  • Complete datasheets accurately to document and analyze work for future improvements.
  • Track materials efficiently to contribute to streamlined operations.
  • Maintain and care for assigned vehicles and equipment.
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador, embodying our commitment to excellence and sustainability.
